Subject brought up at GIMPUsers, but nothing about the update to 2.8.2 can be found. All I do know is it's 900K larger then the recent 2.8.2 release. Anyway here have an idea what extra goodies were added? :)

Thanks Odin; looks like they might have just made drop shadow look better. :)

Apologies if anyone has already noticed this but when you change the 'theme' in 2.8.2 it happens immediately .. you don't have to close Gimp then restart it again! :)

Since Drop Shadow is an .scm script you can open yours in an apropiate editor and modify the lines shown in the message.
In total 3 numbers.
Gerard.

I thought it was sort of weird to release a dash one update just for a Script-fu change too Gerard. I did go ahead and install 2.8.2-1 thought and all's still well. Again, haven't decided to install 2.6.12 yet but I actually may not. :)

I'm pretty sure it restores lib\gegl-0.2 which had been removed between 2.8.1 and 2.8.2 and "broke" cage transform tool.
see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=676468 and comments 15 (mine) and 16 and 17 (Michael)

@Alec Burgess

Thank for the pointer,
not sure if you saw my 2 replies viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5113&start=10 :
I believe the folder went not lost for a incident , because the release note talking of "Removed gegl operations only duplicating functions and adding bugs" and the lost folder contain all the gegl operations ...can't be a coincidence
anyway seems evident that the removal was a error and place it back fix

Did you see the attachment in my reply ?
I did play a bit with the cage tool, still i don't handle too well but didn't crashed yet

If I download the new version 2.8.2 will all my plugins still be there or will I have to install them all over again?
