 Post subject: Help with cutting and pasting!

This is a really noob question but I am trying to make a collage and cut/trim photos and put them altogether i can manage to cut out the pictures but then when i copy and paste into a new A4 sized page the whole page goes tiny to the size of the photo can anyone tell me how to paste it onto the A4 page and resize the image without resize the whole page! Thanks!! :tyspin

hi.

try to paste as... new layer.
Then in the toolbox, choose the movement tool.
Now you can move your layer as you wish.
Save as xcf-format, otherwise the layers will be gone.

When you create a new document, open where it says template and choose A4, then when you are cutting out your images, you will have some idea of their size. You can open a new transparent layer to work on then delete the background layer and save your file as either PNG or XCF to preserve the transparency if you wish.
