I've been using Gimp for a number of years now for painting and image manipulation and I stumbled upon this forum about six months ago. I tend to monitor forums for a while before joining as I've noticed a lot of petty arguments in many. This one seems friendly enough. It was good to see the work of Photocomix over at Fractal Forums - I have two fractal galleries there.

I've grown fond of GPS and Gimp painter and they've motivated me to get "painting" again so I hope to share some of my work here soon. I've noticed there are a lot of Linux users over here so I hope to start some arguments with them too! :hehe

By the way, it was Jolie's videos on Youtube that pointed me in this direction. She's got a beautiful accent! Anyway - have fun.

I don't really know, but she is a very wonderful gimp master. She was really nice from what I gather, and she was superbly talented.

Sad to hear. I think she's called Gimptricks on Youtube. Her videos are informative and clearly explained. I hope she recovers!

Thanks Willy. my name was chosen originally for fractal forums. Fractals deal with the way chaos produces order and in Greek mythology Eris is the goddess of chaos, hence "Erisian."
