Does anybody know of a quick and easy way to convert a ps brush into the images it contains? I know several ways to do it one at a time but I literally have thousands of them. I don't want to convert all of them, I just don't want to do the ones I want manually. I thought I remembered that xnview would do it.

Apart from doing it manually, like painting a blob for each brush, there used to be a plugin to load ABR images into GIMP as images. Not sure it works though, seems to be programmed in C. Link is here: registry(dot)gimp(dot)org /node/ 126

I compiled the executable for win32 bit GMS.
attached in zip (c src included)

Place (executable only) in your plugins folder, and restart Gimp.
File>Open> browse to an ABR and select ok.
The plugin should let you know if the ABR isn't compatible with the plugin or it can not open it. Try another ABR.
If there is more than 1 image in the brush file it will open as separate layers.
