OK; I will ask forgiveness later; going ahead and hosting it here and my apologies if I stepped on the person's foot that actually both supports and fixed this one. Tux can decide if he wants to remove this from this thread or not. :)

Most if not all scripts for Gimp are licensed under GPL so i believe this one is also. :bigthup

Thanks again. :)

Well, I could understand the importance of obtaining seamless tiles for Blender with this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyfU5yN7xNs
I had been difficult to find the correct translation into Spanish of "seamless" in this context.

I can not repeat this for myself without following the video :)

Didn't watch the whole video but just enough to say, yup, it pretty much covers the basics of UV mapping.
The tutorial is more than 1 year old and obviously was made before Cycles Render introduction.
All the magic in Blender happens in the node editor and render layer(s) compositor.
After UV mapping you're only done with texture properly mapped to the object.
Then you add the materials to those objects so, say, the metals look, scatter and reflect light like real life metals.
But all starts with UV mapping and if you didn't do it the right way then the rest of the work isn't going to be great.
This is why making seamless tiles for texturing is so important as I stated in my OP.

This Python plug-in just showed up in the registry today. There is even a nice tutorial to go with it.

Thanks for the heads up O; never can have enough tools to create seamless textures (my side hobby as you may know). :)
