Thanky, Thanky, Thanky much-a-plenty.

Just need them pesky circle brushes pleeze, and I'm back in business. I only kept the Circle 19 size cuz I had my mouse scroll set to change the size. Didn't realize different scripts use diferent sizes.

Hmmm... Guess I could have given you one, but would've been a little dry.
Thanks

does not work for me, the choice:
"Background Type"
You can post the whole code?

I was going to let Graechan make the changes if he wanted too...
And I changed more than was obvious from the snippets...

To bkh1914 and others expiencing problems with my default pattern, gradient and font.
The pattern and gradient used are defaults for Gimp, as for the font, it was a default ttf font for windows.
But may not be used by other operating systems or individuals. This will always be a problem becouse Gimp relies on individual system fonts rather than including a set of its own. :(

I love metal text. I like shiny things.

Just downloaded and can't wait to see what I can do with it.

Keep on keeping on, dude.

Both 2.6 and gimp-video-2.7.5 are doing great, but I'm running Windows.

Thanks Slide, for others it's just a matter of selecting a 'font' 'pattern' or 'gradient' that they do have from the menu. As I said they should have the pattern or gradient, but the font is always dicey. I could change the default font to Sans Bold as it has been used on a default logo script.

But that still may not work for everyone. :gaah

Frustrating, isn't it?

Been there, done that... too many times. :(

That's why I like to default to the current font/brush/pattern/gradient/palette whenever possible. It took some time to figure out how to do it, but now I don't have to worry about it. Or if the script needs a specific brush, I'll create a temporary brush inside the script - it's more work, but less pain.

That s what i would suggest default to current font. That is something Tux showed me a while back with the Soap Bubble script. :)
He fixed it so it would run whichever brush was selected at that time. Then you could open the script and either run that default which was already there, or pick another available brush.I figured this would work on Fonts also.

The script worked excellent for me out the gate, but i do have windows so that would probably be why.
This is what should be learned from always place your new resources in the Gimp 2 directory under USERs because then you can delete or move anything you like and the newly written scripts that call those default resources (usually), will still find all the default resources downloaded with Gimp.

Just something to think about. :)

Your correct Rod, the default folders should not be touched as it will lead to problems not only with my scripts but other scripts and plug-ins. Becouse of this I have decided to only change my code to cover the font default I selected. Thankyou BKH1914 for the code to do this.

The default pattern and gradient should be there. :hehe

I just have to finnish version 3, should be soon as everybody who is missing default Patterns and gradients have realised they will have to reinstall them.

I finally got my defaults back in place. I sure won't get rid of those again. I never used them for anything but didn't realize that many of the scripts use some of them. Anyhoo, I got everything working again and I really like this script.

Rod, I liked your example so much I borrowed some of your shrink/noise techniques to make mine. The only problem I had was trying to decide which one I liked better so I compromised.

Finally got time to try out the script. This is the first incarnation, and will replace the script when the version 3 comes out. I probably should have used curves to change the look of the chrome part, but didn't think of it until just now.
