I want to select a white pixels inside a specific area of image.
So I selected that area by rectangle selection tool, go to Select - By Color and click inside that area - white pixels are selected on the whole image, not just inside a previous selection !

How can I do this, pls ?

Across the top of the select by colour tool dialogue you should notice four red square Icons, hover the mouse over them and it should tell you there functions, select, add to selection, subtract from selection and Intersect with selection which looks like this :intersect , select this option, then when you click on your white pixels the selection will change to only the white pixel selected that where inside your intitial selection rectangle.

+1

You can also learn the keys: Shift: add, Control: subtract, Shift+Control: intersect

A safer way is to:
- create the first selection
- save it (Select.Save to channel)
- create the second selection, as usual
- then open the Channels dialog, right click the saved selection, and "Intersect with selection"
