Hello guys, is there the GIMP analog of "Automatically align image layers" in Photoshop? This tool can allign the layers automatically based on their content. for example, when you take many photos of a scene repeatedly, your hand must shake a little bit. and then when you load the images, they will not be perfectly alligned. but this tool can automatically rotate, shift, and stretch the layers to achieve that. I need it to do this: http://diangos.deviantart.com/art/High- ... -298317377

Thank you in advance :D

The one I know and have used is this one: Gimp-image-registration
http://registry.gimp.org/node/24248
An example in linux but there are compiled plugins for win 32/64 bit if you follow the links on the above page.
You can align any layer with any other layer, not confined to 2 layers. Can take some time with large images.

This one is more recent http://registry.gimp.org/node/26974 I've not really tried it out so can't comment.

I use this one: http://registry.gimp.org/node/18961

Basically you create a path with 4 points, two on the target layer, and two on the reference layer, and it moves/rotates/scales the target layer so that the two points on it match the two points on the reference.

configure: error: The intltool scripts were not found. Please install intltool.

Could you help me? Thank you in advance

What distribution are you using?

@hanclong
YAFU has it there, again you do not say which linux OS you use.
You need to look for something like this http://i.imgur.com/H0hIb.jpg

I mostly use it in PCLOS but I did compile in LMDE (more debian than Mint)

So, if you use a 32 bit linux OS the compiled plugin might work (or might not)

This is on my rapidshare account

140 KB, a small download, if it does not work not much lost.
