GIMP Version: 2.6.11
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: Windows 7
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

I had to get a new computer so I lost my Gimp 2.6.

I wanted to install Python and PyGTK before installing Gimp 2.8; so, which Python should I install?

Is it the 2.7.3 Windows x86 MSI Installer or the Windows x86-64 MSI Installer? Or are they both incorrect?

I also see that there is a Python version 3.2.3

I appreciate the help.
