Hello. I was wondering if anybody else here knows why sometimes the selection ants refuse to show up? Usually it's fixed with a software reboot, but it's annoying all the same. Yes, "show selection" is always checked, but the selection sometimes doesn't show up until it's rebooted. This is an issue I've encountered in pretty much all versions of GIMP I've ever used.

Never seen this... (nothing that Ctrl-T wouldn't fix).

I seem to remember a similar issue, I think I had something set in edit/preferences/interface/configure keyboard shortcuts. Because of my lousy keyboard skills I used to inadvertently turn off selection display. (something else than CTL +T )

Probably not your problem, but I mention it , just in case!

I've had very rarely. Can't remember the cause - it's either a bug or something I was missing.

I've had this happen to me - and what is strange is that if I have multiple images open, some are affected and some not. Sometimes newly opened images work, and sometimes I just have to restart the software.

No clue why this happens - but it's pretty rare to me.
