G'MIC - New version not update in my Gimp

GIMP Version: 2.8.2
Operating System: Windows
OS Version: XP - SP3
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

Hi there!

I downloaded the new version of G'MIC (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gmic/g ... _win64.zip), unzipped, and pasted in the specified folder. Closed and open Gimp already 3 times, but keeps appearing with the older version (1.5.4.0) What I have done wrong? :roll:

Hi, maybe this can guide you a little:

Normally you extract the files to C:\Users\yourname\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins (I assume you change "yourname" to your own username)

For instance on win7x64 I put the files in C:\Users\garagecoder\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins

Edit: Sorry I just noticed you have mentioned you use windows XP, so I think you possibly have the wrong version - it will need to be 32bit not 64bit. I suggest you use the installer version (.exe)

I don't think there's a win32 version of the latest beta yet
