Test3 - Brush dynamics

I have a question.
When applying brush dynamics "Random Color" what pattern or palette does gimp use?
Clearly i have red and white as color picks, and my brush color is not those colors.

I have to play with brush dynamics a bit more but it seems pretty stable, and its faster than the dev versions and isn't chunky.

I can not test any filters or python as i still have libintl-8.dll issues and none will initialize.
Sorry about that.
But i can test the basics. Anything else you guys want me to test?
All the color tools seem to work better.

I do not think it will run right out of the box.You will still have to select it in the installer.
I compiled on a windows machine with codegen already installed so the build included it for me. :)

I am sure the new official release of the setup will include a choice still.

I am pretty sure the Random Color uses the selected Gradient. Do we have diagonal guides now? Or just cropping?

I can send you the compiled version Graechan in a link via PM.
All you will need to do is unzip to your gimp-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins folder and restart Gimp-2.6.12.
Keep in mind i have not tested it in Gimp-2.6.12 , nor Gimp-2.8 RC-1 as i do not want to mess up my current install.
I tested on Gimp-2.7 versions only, and it fails. A small hint... i believe it's missing a crucial dll file. Possibly mono.
I will include it in the zip if you like.

As far as Gimp-2.8 for Windows i only compiled it out of curiosity. With the dll problems i keep getting i wouldn't dare post an installer yet. Not until i fixed that at least.
Besides i believe the official installers will give you a choice to allow older plugins to work. Mine wouldn't.
You are much better off waiting for the release from the official Gimp team in my honest opinion. :)

Attached is one that you can unzip to RC1 /lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins folder and it will work. I tested this one.

Hi Rod.

The libintl-8 problems are not from gimp itself, otherwise you wouldn't have it getting compiled.
I had some problems, too. Always moaning that there is no pointer to __printf__.
I got rid of that, by:

- making sure, that tehere is only one libintl-8.dll on my system.
- the path, where the only one resides, is in systems PATH (in my case my gimp/bin directory).
- deleting all (except especially for a plug-in) dll's from plug-in directories.

okay, I am just waiting for a 2.8 (64-bit) stable version for Windows that I don't have to worry about compiling, and that all the tools and scripts will work in.

Is there any such beast yet?

If so, could someone post a download link to it. If not, I will just sit and wait for a Linux Fedora version :pengy
