try to unistall and get gmic the zipped versionfrom gmic site:
When are problems is always better forgot automatism and install manually:

So unzip gmic in a NEW dedicated folder , put everything is inside the zip there
and follow this Rod how to (he used brush as example but works in the same way )

Sorry Partha i was too lazy to create a bogus plugin folder were yo point your gmic installer. to check if everything was alright

PS i am posting in the script board MathMap-Full-1.3.5 for gimp 2.7.x (32 bit only)
maybe you will like add to the plugin download for the 32 bit.

In case wait a bit or check, there is a slightly chances that require a additional dll (if so i may fix in a heartbeat )

IIncluded a lot of extra filters , also for cool animations

No problems PC. I was not sure how alonte had installed G'MIC.

I have downloaded MathMap before and it requires a whole new set of installation and wants me to install a new version of GCC. I don't know why the author(s) make it so difficult. :(

Were you able to get Mathmap to work in Gimp-2.7.4 PC?
I can not get it to show the scripts from the mathmap folder but it will launch MathMaps ui. :)
Then i can browse to the scripts and use most of them.

Hi,

I will try to put up the build instructions more precisely and with the links you suggested. It definitely needs cleaning up and updated. :)

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

I found a page with some recent libraries, hopefully it will help me to compile GIMP:

There is a misunderstanding here!... please forgot about recompiling is too complex and i doubt may be worth :
is no more maintained and will not be in the future (because only its author may hope to maintain it )

I intended to say that i repacked making the few changes at binary level needed to make it usable with gimp 2.7 (32 bit only) I tested on xp and on 7 everything works :yes

Each time will be used a warning will pop out but is a harmless warning, nothing to worry about

so sorry if i can't help for 64 bit, but works well with all your 32 bit versions of 2.7

No installer of course but is no too complex to install

Download and install how to:

As for me - no (XP 32 bit) - but in other systems may be a conflict of different versions of a file libfftw3-3.dll in Gmic and Mathmat

Finally, have experienced a version of GIMP (regular 2.7.4 32 bit) which works: G"MIC, Mathmap, all python plugins (after a small addition to the libraries - tcl;pygtk), APNG and PostScript (pdf, ps, eps) of gs902w32.exe.
PARTHA - big thanks.

I wish that would happen also to me,i dreamed to get rid of all those messy MM submenu, also calling MM from everything else then MathMap/MathMap you got a different gui with a lot of limitations (as example you can't try different filters )

Most ?? not all ? Some is not available or doesn't work ?
I could no try all (hell ..are more then 100!) but i did for a lot seems all fine

PS remember that for many (not all) MM filters to get a Animation you should check the animation box in the setting tab also there i suggest you to ALWAYS check the supersampling option

Why ?
That dll are the same then in 2.6, if were no conflict before will be not now

and anyway i tested and both works fine no conflict
a pity that MMcan't be used on the 64 bit
(but i saw that JamesH somehow found how to make work GAP_2.7 32 bit on a gimp 64 bit build, not sure how he did and if could be done the same for MM )

Hi Alonte,
I need to know if the installer failed for you. Can you check whether there is a _gmic folder in the plug-ins folder within the gimp folder?

Thanks,
Partha

I had to uninstall the old GMIC first to get a good install of the last two GMIC releases.I suggest you try that.

i did ...everything fine for both 32 and 64 bit

I even experimented a quick mod (you didn't get my PM ? ) adding GAP-2.7, Ghostscript to support postscript, swf (flash)save option and a large group of animation script and plugin...even with that extra load everything works fine.

And finally successfully installed the Help (the standard one) on the 32 bit portable (but that is a long story...was not simple )

PS Installers are cool but for the plugin pack i will like a option to get them just zipped,
