Hi there,

I've added a new G'MIC filter, called Artistic / Polygonize that should be available after a filter refresh :

I was inspired by the recent work of Lyle who recently created some very cool images looking like they have the Eiffel tower structure.
It was not my intention to reproduce what he did, but it gave me some ideas for a new filter, so here it is. I admit I like it, and I guess
there are lot of interesting artworks that could be derived from this filter.
As I know that here at GC, you are full of talented artists, I start with the miserable artworks I've done from this filter. I'm sure you will be
able to use it at its full potential :mrgreen:

So here are my two attempts, basically, I've used this new Polygonize filter, in conjunction with the Poster edges filter, also in G'MIC.
I find that it creates very nice stained glasses, don't you think so ? I've put the original picture at the top-left of each image, so you can see the
amount of transformation it achieves.

Any comments or new experiments are appreciated !

Cheers,

David.

Something for children to colour in. Believe it or not, this was once a photo of Avebury.

Samj, your filters combo is really nice. It looks a bit like folded paper.

@Ronounours

If you find an interesting result you do what you want with this "combo".

Nice result samj. Just for the curious, this one's actually modeled after my Dad (which, if you look hard enough, you will see his reflections too). lol
