This tutorials will teach you how to create those realistic looking balloons typo from your text.

It is a difficult tut, i hope i had explaint it right.

@Chris. I am stuck already and have done this over and over in this step. I alpha to selection my text, grow 20. The selection goes all around each letter. When I grow 20 pixels, the letters are not separated any more then when I do the fill, it is one big blob with no separation. I put 7 spaces between each letter, is that not enough?

I now have it up to 27 spaces and still the same thing. In the tute, it says leave a space between letters, you would think 27 would be more than enough.

Just tried it again at 37 spaces and it worked. :gaah

Molly, please check if the spaces have the same font size as the letters.
I just need one space between, that`s enough.

that is strange cuz I sized my text the same as the tute and also the layer size 1024x768. Maybe different monitors, pc's work differently. OR, I am using Gimp-2.8 and I think the spacing is different from the 2.6, I dunno
