If you like 3d fractal as http://mandelbulb3d.deviantart.com/gallery/ Mandelbulb 3D v1.7.7 was just released Windows only (i didn't try with wine )

Now support much more maps ( from previous 250 to 35.000 ) that is what make me happy because i have a lot of fun playing with map but there are much more improvements

Wine is one of the Linux flavors. Ubuntu, Fedora, Wine etc etc.

Don't think you can unless you have a friend with a live disk. If you don't have an internet connection, how did you make that post?

wine is a ..sort of Windows compatibility layer for linux:
allow to use (many) Windows program in linux
