i was wondering if there is anyway of fixing the white eye on the girl on the left? i have tried doing it myself, by red-eye removal, and by using a different picture cutting the iris from there and pasting it on the eyes, however neither way seemed to achieve satisfying results.

I guess you didn't see the post I made 5 or 6 months ago about the same thing. I got lots of feedbacks on it but I don't know the name of the thread now. I will see if I can find it and maybe someone else might remember it too.
Here ya go

alright, going over it.

i forgot to add, if it matter, the girl originally has green eyes, i can add a picture of her iris if it will help in anyway.

I went over the thread, but it doesn't explain how to do it...
i'm sorry, my gimp skills are very beginner like. any fix would be amazing. a friend tried but she ended up making the eyes very dark, which i did not like as it just looked not right.

and again thanks to anyone who is willing to give this a try, i know the picture is just bad to begin with, we should have used a regular camera than the smartphone one.

I tried it and it is a very pixelated picture and there is not too much you can do to fix this. I also add the xcf below

lol, lots to choose from. I magnified it up to 800 and I could see that not much of the eye would show to get the color but what I did see of it, it looked more Hazel in the picture. I used the eyedropper to pick out the colors around the eye to fill it in as much as possible.

There is eye modification only on the left and global+eye on the right, those dark and grainy photos are hard to recover without blurring the whole thing, I wonder if there are resources to help on this topic..

You did a very good job on sharpening the image anarkhya. What did you use? I tried the sharpen script but it didn't help.

Yah, nice jobs guys!

I ended up only paying attention to the eyes.
Had seen the result of anarkhya before, would want to treat the whole image as well.

I think for the quality of the original, the results are very good!
