I must admit my ignorance ...who is ?
the Dick i miss most is gone from long and was Philip Dick (the sci fi writer ) but ,also from the face i suppose is somebody else..but who ?

BTW very nice portrait...i can't say how much resemble the original since i still have no idea of who should be, but i like the portrait

Do a search on Dick Clark PC; forgot this is an international board and Dick Clark is primarily an American icon. Unlike the previous effort which I used a lot of G'MIC presets as well as Cartoonize (as a blend), I thought I would do another one which I fed the above result into PostworkShop Fine Etch (and Amphisoft's Xylograph filter for the white fill mainly) then some additional GIMPy stuff for enhancement/cleanup.

As a side remark, I did see the story about Philip Dick on the Science Channel recently. :)

Interesting

in a corner of my room lay (from long) a old printer i want disassemble to adapt to print on tissue ...no much to print t-shirt but mainly to print on canvas, i think to use similar process, print, and then do some quick manual retouch with brushes and colors

you just remind me that i really should do and soon because i am broke, and that would allow to increase a bit my income

(telling you a secret..i will simply do a photo and come back a couple of day later with a framed portrait on canvas ,clearly handmade .)

Dick Clark was the host of American Bandstand, and he changed rock and roll forever. Allowing artists to be seen and discovered.Artist such as Chuck Berry. Much of our rock comes from the blues.

Dick Clark was an American icon if ever there was one. :)
He will be sadly missed at Times Square each year the ball drops, and tv land.
82 is a nice long life though.

Yes, he will be sadly missed. All those teeny boppers had lots of fun dancing on his show.

Here's a headline from the CNN website, 'Only God is responsible for making more stars than Dick Clark'.
He was one of the most recognizable and influential voices in rock n' roll, and he never sang a note.

Perhaps this is what the Mayans meant when they predicted 2012 to be the last calendar year.
