Unbelievable! :hehe I'm sure the net once used to be useful but the amount of out-of-date information you come across when searching for something is overwhelming.

I still open GIMP 1.2.4 for a few unique plugins that never got carried over (rarely, but still do). I never installed GIMP prior to, I believe 1.2.0 (not going to research what GIMP was available in the Summer of 2000; lol). I didn't really start using GIMP until 2002 though. lol

When I got my Wacom tablet there was no out of the box support for it in Linux.
Searching the internet I came across sites with completely obsolete methods.
Why aren't these removed?
Gerard.

Probably just in case folks like myself still have them around, and forget how to use some features. :) :lol

They contain nothing that would be of any value with todays setup.
These were about kernel modules that you had to load into the kernel during boot.
And the controls for pressure etc. will be disregarded with todays installs.
Support is now excellent thanks to software that does most of it automagically.
So these will make an unsuspecting person go on a wild goose chase.
Gerard.
