Loving all these beautiful photos. I think all my flower pics are on the old computer, and they are old anyway. I haven't been doing much with photography in several years. I really should get back into it.

Cecilia - That bottom pic looks almost like a Peony but it appears to be some sort of tree I'm unfamiliar with. What is that?

Charlie - not really a lot of work at all. Irises are a desert plant and don't require any care at all except thinning out ocaissionally and they don't require a lot of water at all, except when it gets really hot like it does here in big D. You can leave them lying around on on a bench for weeks, then plant it and it will thrive. The moisture is stored in the roots. I've inadvertantly left one laying on top of the ground and the stupid thing started growing anyway. The work was digging up and killing all the grass, preparing the bed by mixing sand with the soil, and getting them into a shallow hole in the ground. Now it's pretty much pulling a weed or two onece in a while and just watching them grow.

2-Ton - Irises like room to grow and spread their roots. If you don't keep them thinned out it's the same as a houseplant that has become root bound and needs a larger pot. Give 'em away to friends.

The water reflection effect works very well with flower photos.

Odin, there is a script for the water reflection effect...I can't remember the name of it offhand.

I saw a reflection script at the Gimp Plugin Registry. It's probably the one you mean. The animated effect is what was I wondering about. I'm using 2.8 so I don't have GAP.

There's a lot of beautiful flowers here. Sadly I don't have a garden so I'm going to have to get up the local garden's and get snapping!

I used gmic colors tone preset velvetia on this photo of a Jack-in-the-Pulpit. It was almost this bright anyway, but I wanted to play with gimp to enhance it just a bit. heh, had to shrink it and make it a .jpg as the original png file was over the upload limit!

Well, I got out into the woods behind my flat and found these.

A bit common maybe, but I think they're nice.
