Like your second brush Rob; believe I already had your first one. Anyway, heres my rotating yarn brush but again, it's not the quality that I would like. :)

Lyle, is your yarn brush listed under a different name from yarn? I can't find it in my brushes.

Later: Think I found it listed under GIMP Brush Pipe.

Is this it?

I'm that lazy Molly; that's why I'm a filter guy. I used RobA's Script-fu to actually created the gih brush a few years back. If it ain't plugin or Script-fu, it ain't for me. lol

That's exactly the problem I was having with rope and twisted wire brushes. :(

It looks like a spinning wheel problem with the top and bottom having different velocities than the center so you end up with curlicues.

I know the retrograde motion can be compensated by shifting each one forward and back in addition to rotating....but it would only work in one direction and at one spacing, so not too useful :(

This is probably one of the best animated brushes I've run across for GIMP. Have no idea how it was created; the transitions are near flawless. Looks like he dropped off the planet after posted just a few Deviations. Anyway, I wonder if anyone knows of a barbed wire, rope, or other brush that come's close to this brush. Please let me know. :)

I like the vine brush. Still haven't mastered the animated path stroking, though. Took a couple minutes too many to work this little animation. Anyway . . .
