I like the results. The target image becomes transparent wherever the emap is transparent, an effect that could definitely be an advantage.

In the BRL script, I make a copy of the original image for several reasons. It's not always advantageous to have the copied layer visible. In
this post, I mentioned using the copied layer to create a smooth stroke or to blend the copy into the BRL result. This can helps to mitigate aliasing that can occur when the plug-in is called. When running from the alpha menu, I keep a copy to allow quick painting. You always have a copy of the original on which to make the next selection to be "painted".
