Adding Rodilius to the lace flow gives your wicker. Of course, I had to colorize the result to look like wicker too. :)

Really cool Lyle. I like the trick of using the Edge offset filter for the guilloche effect.

That is a very interesting effect Lyle...that petunia has travelled a lot of miles that you nursed back to health after holding out all winter.
nice job.

I should remember Lyle. I made that petunia into a sphere, and I did some other things with GMIC and too long ago to remember. I also made it into a pattern. poor little petunia without the onion patch.

lylejk: both of these really turned out beautiful - i like the face best too, just like erisian. it looks very expressive and it looks a bit more stylized than the flower and i like that.

I love the effect, it looks so cool!! What kind of filter did you use? I assume it's not a standard GIMP filter?

BaukjeSpirit...Lyle used more than one filter on this. I think they are all from GMIC.

You are welcome but when Lyle comes on line, I am sure he will be able to fill you in on what filters he used. He is the filter guy Y'all know. :teeth

G'MIC, but also used Wavelet Denoise Merge downand set to Ggrain Extract then Merge down, then along with Enhance Details Script-fu. Way too tired (just got off work; going to soon hit the sack) for any tut and probably won't be since even I have to keep my secrets (real excuse; way too lazy. lol). :)

Made a few edits. Not as tired as I was when I posted this earlier. :hehe

:)

Got up a little over an hour ago and then had to do some shopping for Dad. I noticed that I made an error in the flow Gram so I will soon correct it there anyway. :)

Is this what you used at one point, Lyle...this is a very nice automatic script for effect.
I did the tutorial. It requires the dodge-burn script be installed...works good.

Cool info Gram, but I'm way too lazy to do all that work. lol

:)

Molly knows me well. lolol

Poser/filter guy I am. The more I can coax the computer to do the work the better. ;)

Sorry for the delay; just did another Wicker so linked this thread and saw your follow up. I either use Enhanced Details Script-fu or ACE (adaptive contrast enhancement) plugin or both depending on what I feel is needed Gram.
