this wasnt planned to be a picture

just wanted to try something...an idea i had, how to make diamonds but it didnt work out the way i wanted it to be

so the flower polygon is made in shape paths again, then rotated with clone layer tool
next i used the path tool to make selections of individual shapes, filling them with a gradient and then rotating again
step by step you get a grayscale gradient flower and to colorize i put a colorful gradient on top of it

im not happy with the middle of the flower, tried several things, but got bored and called it a day

of course i couldnt post it the way it is and had to do another of my typography things on it :hehe

not my best work, but post it anyway, hope you like

Really looks cool Esper. The hexagon grill makes it work for me. :)

Hi Esper!

I read the description and tried to reproduce my own diamond shapes but ended up with a mess, lol!
I really need to learn how to use shape paths script and CLT. Are you planning on making a tutorial by any chance?
I would looooooove to learn from you!

Thanks,

K1TE

Dammm I looked at the day and the month, and did not notice the year ... :melt
I thought it was the 5th of this month. :rofl
I gave it a read in the tutorial ... scary! :scram
Looked at the .xcf, and the number of layers alarmed even more. :gaah
But it is tempting! :popcorn
