My first one i actually created by myself! :)
A Gimp Chat Logo spinning around a transparent globe.
Maybe on my next one i can get the sharpness better. It is kind of fuzzy around the edges.

Cool Rod, Did you try shrinking 1 pixel around the edges?

Right now i am trying to save it as a animated png and see if that works. :)
Then i will try the shrink by 1 pixel method.

Good idea Molly.

Here it is.
Image

No real difference in quality at all. :\

Your way Molly! :) - although i really didn't relish the idea of going through 31 layers with
Alpha to selection - select-shrink by 1pixel - select invert - delete took forever.
Perhaps someone could develop a script to accomplish this sort of task quicker?
Probably should have went with 2 pixels. :P

Oh well! - Back to the drawing Gimp. :paint

I meant to do it before you animated it Rod.... I wouldn't go through that many layers either. :teeth

lol - now you tell me. heheh.
Anyways did you notice both the pngs that i uploaded have a slight shift at the 2nd frame?
The GIF doesn't and that is weird. It seems like the PNG extension would replace the layers better than that.
Perhaps that is something that should be looked at by Max in the future?

Just to let you know, Rod, I got this message when I tried to view your images.
The image “http://www.gimpchat.com/files/196_Gimp-Chat-Globe2.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I like your animation!

Sounds like your APNG viewer isn't working. :)
I have no idea what that is by the way.

How come my png animations look so horrid?
I wonder if it is the way i saved them?
Something in the APNG dialog perhaps? (compression)

Nope tried to create it with less compression and it got worse. (If that's possible) :)

I can't see the apngs you posted at all. I just tried making an apng and my plug-in no longer works. Don't know why. Wonder if there's a new one out.

Here I am, quoting myself again. I tried another apng and it worked. Don't know why it didn't before.

This is what my png settings dialog looks like.
