More like, Wilber ie. "The Coyote", and Gimp's mascot.
This idea that Wilber is a "Gimp" is erroneous at best. I'd rather have Wilber be represented as a Coyote then something without an identity.
That would be like "Tux" being called a "linux". At least we know what Tux is.

It would be like creating any creature, and giving it a name, not necessarily anything based in reality. It seems to me that GIMP.org's history of GIMP would be fairly accurate. Anyways, your art is nice.

Thanks Molly. I can't take credit for the coyote. It was drawn for me my a friend, but I created everything else, with very few alterations of the coyote itself.
