Griatch isn't this the same dragon used in the frozen image a while back?
Sorry i can not remember the name of that image.
Both are amazing pieces of artwork.
One thing i don't get in the image though is the water from the waterfall looks like it should be in front of the bottom right outcrop of rocks because the dragons head is coming through the waterfall correct?

EDIT: I see it now.It was hard for me to tell the dragon was on a mountain sticking his face in the waterfall at first.
Looks great to me now. :) :bigthup

griatch: vackert som vanligt :)! dragons are my favourite species, so of course i love this, but quite apart from that i like how the dragon really looks ancient and i think the water is very well caught. maybe it should have been a little "misted up" around the spot where it bounces off the dragon, though? wouldn't there be little drops in the air that sort of "clouded" things? i really am no water expert, though :). just thinking of what it looks like where the water from a garden hose hits a plant or something.

You should be in contention to win because you've captured the essence of water in the piece. The subject matter is cool too. Who doesn't like dragons?

Can't help thinking this is a young dragon who just spat his first flames without expecting it and is now trying to extinguish the fire. That or an older one who overdid it and burnt his tongue (the eye is saying "don't laugh!").

Thanks for the feedback! The stuff in the lower right could indeed be a rock cropping ... or it could be part of the dragon's left-front paw. ;)
The image you are thinking of is That which Thaws, found here.

One could indeed add more mist, it depends a little on the humidity in the air and how long the dragon's head has been in the water curtain. I might experiment a bit with that, thanks for the idea!

It's indeed interesting that my dragon images tend to be the ones attracting most attention on DeviantArt. There is a huge dragon-fanbase out there it seems. :)

Hehe, that's a fun interpretation! Just don't suggest that to the dragon!
